Welcome readers of all ages! After years of writing for travelers and businesses, I’m happy to launch my first book for children. Two By Two is now available. You can order a signed copy through my local Indie bookstore, FoxTales Book Shoppe. Check the “Books” tab for information and links. Or ask your own favorite bookstore to order it for you. It’s also online at Amazon, Christianbooks.com, Target, and Wal-Mart.

In other projects, I’m in the final edits (Are they ever really final?) of a young adult novel titled SECRETS RISE.

Sixteen-year-old Mira’s not worried about traveling on a fraudulent passport that claims she’s 18. After all, it’s only a one-day “stork” trip, flying an adopted infant from Central America to California. But the trip turns disastrous when a coup in her homeland closes its borders, and U.S. immigration threatens to send her to a detention center.
Fortunately, the baby’s movie-star mom pulls strings. Still, Mira worries about her sister, left behind at the orphanage. A year passes and Mira is mired down working for the star 24/7. So when a neighbor concocts a plan to smuggle her sister into the U.S., Mira is all in. But on arrival day, earthquakes and flooding devastate L.A., and her sister goes missing. Mix in the star’s sketchy boyfriend, a neighbor who might not be what she appears, and two cute guys she’s not sure she can trust, and Mira’s life mimics the tagline for her boss’s latest movie: When disaster strikes, secrets rise to the light.
SECRETS RISE is a 65,000-word YA novel that could have come out of today’s headlines with themes of immigration, Hollywood’s seedy undercurrents, and pay-for-adoption corruption in third world countries.
